How these tools work
Each tool states what it is built on and when that source was published, because rules change and a tool that does not say which version it used cannot be checked. Where a rule is proposed rather than final, the tool says so on its face rather than in a footnote.
None of them give advice. They state what the published rules say and do the arithmetic, so you can see the working and check it against the source yourself.
Tools marked in development are not links and do nothing yet. They are listed so you can see what is coming, not to suggest it is ready.
